Refund and Return Policy

At AnimeKatana, we take pride in the craftsmanship of our blades. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help. Our policy lasts 30 days from the date of delivery. If 30 days have gone by since your delivery, we unfortunately cannot offer you a refund or exchange.

1. Return Conditions & Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, your item must meet the following criteria:

Condition: The item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging.
Evidence: For any return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase, along with clear photos/videos of the item.
Customized Items: Items with personalized engravings, custom handle wraps, or made-to-order specifications are not eligible for return due to "Change of Mind." These can only be returned if there is a verified manufacturing defect or damage upon arrival.

2. Return Process

To start a return, you must contact us at service@animekatana.com

If your return is accepted, we will send you instructions on how and where to send your package.
Note: Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
We recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

3. Damaged or Wrong Items (Defective Policy)

Please inspect your order upon reception. You have 7 days from the date of delivery to report any defects, damages, or if you received the wrong item.

Fees: If the return is due to our error (defective or damaged), AnimeKatana will cover all return shipping costs, and no restocking fee will apply.
Resolution: We will evaluate the issue and offer a replacement, repair, or full refund.

4. Customer Remorse (Change of Mind)

If you wish to return a non-customized product for personal reasons (you don't like it, it’s not what you expected, etc.):

Timeframe: Request must be submitted within 30 days of delivery.
Return Shipping: The customer is responsible for paying the return shipping costs. Shipping costs from the original order are non-refundable.
Restocking Fee: A 10% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund to cover the inspection and repacking of the blade.
Video Requirement: A complete, uninterrupted video showing the item’s current resalable condition is required before the return is authorized.

5. Cancellations

We allow a 6-hour grace period for cancellations after the order is placed.

Within 6 Hours: Full refund guaranteed.
After 6 Hours: If production has started or the item has been processed, a 10% fee (restocking/material cost) will apply.
Shipped Orders: If the item has already shipped, the order cannot be canceled. You must follow the standard Return Process once the item arrives.

6. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

Approved Refunds: If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 3–5 business days.
Late Refunds: If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account, then contact your credit card company or PayPal, as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

7. Customs and Import Issues

Because swords are regulated items, it is the buyer's responsibility to ensure the product complies with local customs and import laws.

Seizures: If an item is seized or destroyed by customs due to local legal restrictions, we cannot issue a refund.
Delays: We are not liable for delays caused by customs clearance or courier logistics.

8. Applicable Regions

This policy applies to customers in: Australia, Germany, Canada, the Netherlands, and the United States.
